I'm often asked what the difference between BOTOX and other soft tissue fillers is. BOTOX works on dynamic wrinkle production, meaning that muscles that contract and produce wrinkles in the face. BOTOX paralyzes these muscles locally without spreading around the body and smoothes out the area that the muscles are causing to wrinkle. Soft tissue filler simply fills a line that's there but it does not stop the muscles from producing the line.
Usually a combination of the two can be extremely effective for certain areas.
