One of the more exciting things that's come along in non-surgical tightening of the skin is Thermage or ThermaCool as the trademark is. Thermage uses radio frequency waves to affect the deeper skin and cause it to contract without damaging the more superficial skin. What this means is that as the outer skin is being cooled by the treatment tip the deeper skin is treated with the radio frequency waves, starting a process in which the skin starts tightening over the next six to eight months. Effectively this means that the patient can have the procedure and go to work the next day without any untoward effects from the procedure.
