Patients often ask me what is the difference between a face lift and facial laser resurfacing. A face lift lifts the deeper tissues of the face into position but it does not remove the fine wrinkles of the superficial skin that we may see in the mirrors. So the laser resurfacing takes care of these fine wrinkles and often laser resurfacing may be a good complement to be done at the same time or in a staged type procedure after a face lift to get the ideal contour and shape of the face.
