Other Types of Body Surgery
Men commonly report concerns about excess areas of body fat, and excess skin. As a result, we often perform the following body procedures for our male patients:
- Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
- Mini Tummy Tuck
- Lower Body Lift
- Upper Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)
- Liposuction (Liposculpture)
The first step involved in your male body surgery is to schedule your initial consultation. Your consultation will include a review of your medical history, a physical exam, and discussion of the procedure options. After determining a treatment plan that addresses your concerns, Dr. Behmand’s patient care coordinator will present you with a procedure quote.
Scheduling Your Male Body Surgery
After deciding to proceed and schedule your procedure, you will select a surgery date and secure it by making a deposit. Following that, a pre-operative appointment will be scheduled, where your questions will be addressed, and instructions will be reviewed. Moreover, you’ll receive requisition forms for necessary pre-surgery blood work and any other indicated studies. The goal of any pre-operative study is to ensure that we perform your elective surgery as safely as possible. During this process, you will also have the opportunity to read through an in-depth informed consent form discussing your procedure, and you may ask any questions that you may have.
Recovery From Your Male Body Surgery
Recovery time from your body surgery varies depending on the procedure you decide to have. For most procedures, we will ask you to take approximately 1–2 weeks off work and to restrict exercise activity for about 4–6 weeks. We will provide you with detailed procedure-specific instructions during your pre-operative visit.
